    Hi,

    Hope someone can help....
I have a large number of Avi files that I want to play on my Yamada DVD player. The player does play Avi, Mpeg, Divx etc, but struggles with certain codec types. Each file is about 200 Mb and the codec it has been encoded with is not compatable with this Dvd player. I have tried converting them to Mpeg files, but it takes about 1 hour for each one, and I have 100's of files to convert. is there a faster way to change the file to something my DVD player might be able to read? I don't even need to change the file format, just the codec. If possible I would like to keep the files about the same size. if it isn't possible to do it faster, then do you suggest is the best way to do it? Thanks in advance....

hi the files are probably Xvid and not supported by you player which I dont think there is much you can do about to save time my only suggestion would be to load up a batch job in virtualdub convert them to DivX and let it run thru the night
