I have a video clip that is in the .avi format with a divx encode I am somewhat of a n00b when it comes to video anyway The file/s Are encoded with a divx codec but have an .avi extension and they are 356mbs or so Fairly small They play in vnc and with the divx codec things open when I try it in windows media player and it works I want to burn them to a dvd or so Without signifigant quality loss and I would like to cram as many as possible on one dvds are spendy and My dvd programs won't accept them as a valid video source I was wondering If there was a program I could purchase or a free program that could convert/burn these at the size they are at or smaller would I need to decode them? or could I burn them dvd compatible? Thanks any help is greatly appreciated.

Best bet would be to buy a standalone capable of playing DivX avi's. Otherwise you need to convert to DVD compliant MPEG-2 (or MPEG-1), author and burn. To fit the most possible you should convert to 1/4 res (352x288/240).
