I am so frusterated now that I am about one click away from a full formate . I can get rid of this white flickering box on my screen. I am pretty sure it comes from a mpeg2 codec . But I need a mpeg2 codec to watch some of the movies I get , also I have Dr.Divx to convert from a mpeg2 to divx , then to nero to burn as a vcd. So now that I can't get any where with getting rid of the darn box, I'm just going to formate and start fresh. What I NEED to know is all the necessary codecs I will need from the start. I like to use wmp on my pc and nero to burn with . Most of the movies I can get are being encoded with mpeg2 there for I can't get Tmpgenc to convert them to mpeg1 for a vcd burn.

If there is anyone who can possibly help me out please do it soon.
    Thanks wendy

I listed gspot codec search in case you need to search for a file to find out what codec u need to play it!

As for an MPEG-2 codec, install a software DVD player, i HIGHLY recommend WinDVD!! That will install a good mpeg-2 codec for you!

If you need more help, Do feel free to PM me

Uninstall elecard from your add/remove programs option within your control panel. I had the same problem and I eliminated the last few steps by merely burning the bin/cue file as an image with Alcohol 120%. That darned box drove me mad. If this is not an option, just remove the program and reinstall the 21 day trial period or buy it for $20.00 after uninstalling it.

IU agree alcohol is the best indeed but the codecs are also very important and i would stress not to forget them unless u want to run into trouble afterwards
