combining files

    i have a movie in two parts (files ) can i burn them on to one disk

    Yes - what's the format they're in?
    If they're avi you can use VirtualDub.
    Vision will also join them (merge button) and convert them.

    Or if there already a dvd compliant file you can use Nero Recode's Remake a DVD option.

    They are in AVI, so i have to combine them then convert ?

    If you have Nero you can do it all with Vision. Once you add both parts highlight. You'll see 3 bottoms in the left hand side of the screen - click the middle one - merge and they will be combined - merge title w/ Vision.

    If you have a dvd player that accepts divx/avi format then you can just combine them w/ VirtualDub then burn as a data disc. It's very fast - only takes a minute or 2 to combine.
    Or once there combined use whatever program you use to convert.

    Either option of combining will give seamless playback - no gap when it hits the 2nd part.

    when i open virtualdub to download, winzip opens and shows all the files but i dont know what to do next

    Double click on the one called VirtualDub.exe to run it.

    Oh sorry a little retarded on weekends, i received a nasty note for my interent provider forwarded to them from paramount ,said for them to stop me from downlaoding their movies, so i am just considering if its worth doing anymore

    I think I would play it cool and lay low on downloading movies bit.

    I have stopped, what sucks is i download for my mom who is bed ridden
