I've bought two bundles of Memorex DVD+R DL 8.5GB DVD's. Bundle A has no issues, I rip with either DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter and burn with Nero. They play in my DVD player just fine. Bundle B, on the other hand, will not play in my DVD player, only on my computer. Does anyone have any idea as to why this is the case? Is it just something messed up with the DVD's themselves??
Are they rated at the same speed? 8X media are manufactured differently from 4X and 2.4X versions, and that can cause problems. Otherwise they should behave the same. They are probably from Ritek, the largest DL manufacturer these days.
