I find the software products for Windows more appealing, then what I can get with a Mac. I currently use MTR and Roxio Popcorn to backup my DVDs. However, I'd like to find software which allows you to pick and choose specific bonus features (keep some, and not others).
I believe I'll have better luck finding what I want, if I can use my PC. Once compressed (since my PC has only a DVD drive, not writable) could I then transfer the file over my network, and then burn it from my Mac? I believe I'd then need different burning software for my Mac as well...

    Thanks!
