How can you compress a file that is over 700Mb to a 1.44Mb diskette using winRaR?
I know it can be done.
My friend had done it for me before but he hadn't told me how to.

I see a lot of these types of posts lately that ask for instructions on how some that seems imposible is done. Like getting a whole dvd with menus on one cd with no loss of quality, it just cannot be done. I would readily apply that sentiment to this post but it may be possible with the right type of file, and by the right type of file I mean one with a lot of duplicates. Because the way that rar and zip compresses things with no loss of quality is by checking for whats reapeted and just copying one "item" and logging its location for reasembly. So in theory you could have a huge .txt document with only one word and that word would be copied once and then just the locations of the preceding words would be in the archive. Even this would not enable you however, to fit 700MB to 1.44MB, the Sheer density of just the locations of the .txt document described above would fill the disc, and since I seriously doubt that you would use a text file with one repeating word you would never be able to get even close to 700MB onto a floppy. Go back to this friend and find out what he did, though I doubt that he did nothing but fool you somehow.

    Ok then
Explain to me how he gave me ONE diskette (1.44Mb capacity) From his home.
I went to my home, on different computer, never had the program on my computer before.
When I extracted the contents of the disk it turned out to be over 712.15Mb.
    Fully functioning.

    Oh come on, please.
Do you really think its possible? ha ha.
I think, that either you are asking this question on purpose trying to make us look stupid or make yourself look smart, or you have been played a trick on.

What kind of program was it when you extracted is? Tell me name, and what kind of program please.

It might just be a program that creates a fake file at the size you want.
I have used these programs before for reasons im not going to say. These programs can be only 200KB.
Your 'friend' might have sent you a little game, for example Pac-Man, and at the same time the 700MB file is being created in the background. That might be the case
