Whats'the best way to compress an xvid to a cd size in virtual dub??
Coz I keep on trying and it only makes it bigger to 1 gb or more.

Did you configure the bitrate using the bitrate calculator?
I have heard of people missing size by a little bit but by that much? You must have done something wrong? Maybe forget to compress audio?

why do I have to change something to the audio?? the audio size is automatically in 107859 kbytes.
By the way it worked..but strange enough untill I calculated the bitrate to 350000 kb...that's weird..coz the outcome after finishing is 695901 kbytes...is that normal??..so do I have to calculate to half in order to get a 700 mb or less file???

Well 695,000 kb equals 679 MB, so you should be set...

why not use something easier like Pocket Divx Encoder?
