Computer Doesn't Detect DVD-R

    I have a problem with my computer (or the DVD) and it won't seem to detect the Disk. (Actually it does detect it but it says 0gb of space on it). And when i try to burn something on it, nothing happens.

    I have a Gateway 550GR and nothing is wrong with the computer to me.

    Can anyone help me with this problem?

    What burning program are you using? Are you sure it's showing 0 Gb of Free space and not Used space?
