If your using IE try this, go to tools, internet options, advanced, mutimedia and check all the boxes. Also see if you have quicktime installed (if you don't want itunes download the stand alone version).
hmmmi noticed i dont have MPG in my downlowd actions, how would add mpg movies to the mix. i think that might be my problem.
Two more things, try downloading and installing IE7 Or take out sp2 and let automatic updates install it for you because you sp2 file might have been corrupt, plus witch version of xp are you using. More info makes for better answers.

Ive downloaded all those, Ok... so which plug will add MPG as one of my availalble download actions?? my browser wont play any MPG videos because its not available in my download actions. that explains why i can watch youtube.com videos but not any others. does anyone know what im talking about?
I do for some reason have this in my browser. I've come up with a new list of things to try. (1)Install flash player. (2)Install QuickTime 7.1 because my action for mpg is to open with quicktime 7.1, dunno why since quicktime never opens. (3)If you have Media player 11 installed, go back to media player 10, 11 is total crap. (4)Reinstall firefox (5) If nothing else has worked then CLEAN you reinstallation disk very well and install it again, I've heard that small amounts of dirt can cause a lot of problems. this post applies to the post before irelands second post, some how it was nocked down.
