I upgraded my RAM and added a new harddrive and now when I boot into windows it just goes to a black screen after booting into windows. Safe mode doesn't work either and it just hangs.

I also tried installing a new copy of windows but it just won't load.

Anything I could have done wrong? I have tried everything...

Had this kind of problem once but all it was was loose wires and a mis-connection. You could try to make sure everything is secure and connected in the correct order primary to main hard drive then from primary to slave, this applies for the power too.

Have you tried putting the old ram back in?

I double checked the hard drives and they seem okay. I also tried the old RAM with both one and two sticks and still no dice.

BTW im using the striker extreme motherboard.
