Try using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. You could also try using AnyDVD (free trial) with xPlat. You may be encountering a dvd with bad sector copy protection that xPlat can't handle.
ok now after i have downloaded all of these programs what order do i use them in to make the dvd burn properly
Go to this site and you will find all the guides you need to back up DVD's read through them. You can download the two free programs DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter from this site http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/
Out of curiosity, was there any error(s) at all in prior to your computer shutting off? There is a chance or possibility that your computer may be infected with a virus. I'm not a computer geek, but it looks like you're having issues with either hardware or virus related. I may be wrong though, however, I've never experienced such problem like yours before and according to my understanding -- no computer should just "shuts off itself" in prior to back up, unless there's something wrong inside your computer/hardware.
i think i have overheating problems today i was able to do 4 before it shut off then later on in the night i could do one how can i solve the overheating problem
hi i take my side panel off my pc box every month! as the dust collected in one month is unbeleivable! get a paint brush and clean fans on cpu and case blow fans, i take my fan off the heatsink to get at fins and the fan better! it knocks 10 degrees back off! a month! get a few case fans...
yes great idea rotary , my case actually has a filter that i can pull out a clean , really cool case as you can see in my sig.
hi i love that graphic card aabbccdd, kool system... i am just in the process of building my new one i got the case so far LIAN LI PC75 USB i am waiting for the new AMD cpu's the 64 dual core, 2 cpus in 1 they range from 4.2ghz to 4.8ghz
They make laptop coolers such as this one. http://www.cluboverclocker.com/reviews/cooling_devices/antec_nc/ I'm not sure if that is a good one, or not since I dont own a laptop.
I had this same problem on my laptop after I let the free trial of anydvd run out on it ...could not rip with any programs such as dvdd and shrink and others too...took my laptop to a puter geek I know ( my Brother) lol... and he told me he clean some stuff out of the registry that had to do with slysoft anydvd ...cured the problem...he said with the end of the trial even if uninstalled there are still traces of the program lingering around and could affect the performance of others that were used in conjunction with it before...anyhow long story short I removed all the dvd ripping programs and reinstalled them and now I have no more problems ...just know this worked for me ..hope it helps some...
@JD Nice find, I have just a plain cool pad, I may just invest in one of these. My laptop is an AMD and is notorious for overheating. :~)
@arniebear,Your welcome...Ive heard these things mentioned before, and they seem to work well with others, with an overheating problem...at least I helped someone on this thread, even if it doesn't turn out to be chaps11 problem.
@JD Again, thanks. I have one of the first cool pads but this one has more ventilation. Even with the cool pad I have mine tends to overheat, I stopped using it to backup DVD's because it is so tempermental. I think I will give the pad a try and see if it works out. :~)
Yes Rotary its def. a great card the best you can get at this point in time 600 bucks though but worth it is capable of 1000 FPS . cool CPU your getting , when will they be on the market? i just might upgrade for that.
