computer problem

    my computer is being stupid.....

    when i open "my computer" and go to a local drive an error pops up and then i have to close the window....i also just installed windows media player 11 and it will stay open for less than a minute..i`m just a little confused..

    anyone have any ideas??

    Moving to Langjökull in Iceland - so all the info I posted is moving with me!

    its the normal "program has encountered a problem and needs to close"
