I need help, I have had no problem burning dvd's lately at all and now when I am backing up a movie it encodes but when it tells me to insert a blank dvd, I put one in and next thing I know the computers restarts itself. I have uninstalled anydvd and shrink to see if that helps but nothing so far. I have an Empres dual double layer 16x dvd writer. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. It says my drivers are up to date so not sure what to do :O)
    Thanks,
    Brandy

Im having the same problem. It seems to only shut down after putting in a cd/dvd thats blank or burnt. Ive also checked drivers, etc. I cant think of any thing else to do.

I only have this problem with dvd+r discs. Sometimes i can put the disc in w/o anything happenting but it usually just shuts down. When it doesnt shut down when i put in the disc, it shuts down when any movie is being encoded. Its become increasingly frustrating, it use to only shut down when after a movie was done buring and the cd would eject. If anybody has any kind of clue what i can do i would love to know.
