After approx 3 seconds after booting up, the pc will shut down. On occasion, it will boot fine.
    No viruses/spyware/trojans.
Everything has been checked and rechecked.
    Am running WinXP.. Please help
I even did a Go Back to restore to earlier time and still the same happens.

Methinks ye have a hell'uva lot of dust in your case. Un-screw it, and use Dust-off, or just use a vacuum (Idiot's way, but does work). Then unscrew the heat-sink off your CPU and vacuum that, and the CPU off, then do the same with the graphics card. Do a post-cleanup vaccum of the case, screw everything back on/in and your set. If this doesn't help, I'd suggest buying a new case-fan, or if you're overclocking, stop. If not... I dunno, ;)

    Welcome to aD!
