    Hey guys.

There seems to be a problem with my computer.

Everytime I burn something my computer goes into standby and will not turn back on. I have to hold the power switch to turn it off and then back on.

Every time it does this I lose around 4GB of space on my HD and it only seems to do this when I burn UFC or Boxing PPVS that are around 1.7 GB in size and around 2 hours 40mins long. Movies that are around 700mb in size burn fine.

    What could be the problem?

    thanks

It happens like 3 hours into the burn.

I just searched google, which i should of done first. And some people who have this problem, it seems the computer overheats?

Burn doesn't take 3 hours. Are you talking about the
encode that Nero may do before the actual burn?
Check the power options in control panel. Is standby selected ?
Make sure the cpu is not overheating.

Yes, my bad, the encoding. It happens around 3 hours and 30mins into the encoding.

    Here is what there is

    Turn Off Monitor: Never
    Turn Off Hardwear: Never

    System Standy By: 25min
    System Hibernation: Never

And then on the next tab it says Hibernation and there is a disc next to this.

Turn off standby and see if it resolves the problem.
