Computer wont read DVD made on TV

I made a DVD-R on a DVD recorder and now I need to copy the disk to the PC. The computer says the disk is blank but it plays in my DVD player on my TV. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

 

If possible finalize the disc and update firmware on pc drive.

 

prolly dvd VR format too, so yeah finalise like said above then use a trial of tmpgenc dvd author.

there are other ways but thats going deep in the jungle for now...

 

I don't think there are many instances when a standalone DVD player will play a DVD that is not finalized, so most likely is finalized.
if the computer sees the disc as blank, probably using any software will not help. I would try a different drive(if you have a friend maybe).Some times, some computer drives will not recognize their own recordings.

 

his dvd player = recordable dvd player (VR format) which is like multisession (unfinalized) left open to add more video and the recorder can play unfinalized...

but yes normal dvd player wont read it or the pc either.
