well when i start my newly built computer it will still go to the bios but it wont let me install my new os it will boot from disc but after i format and copy the main installer files and then it will restart? then it will ask to boot from disc again so i turned off the computer, unplugged the dvd/cd rom drives, and flipped it back on and it would go to the os installer! but then it would ask for the disc but i cant do that cause the dvd/cd rom drive is unplugged... what do i do
btw i get this error message:

    couldn't open drive multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)
    NTDR: couldn't open drive multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)

when it reboots and asks to boot from the cd just ignore it. it will then boot into the drive that you are installing windows on and continue the installation. if you take out the dvd drive it wont install because it needs the disc.

what is the boot sequence in the bios as in rom drive then hd or hd then rom drive? what os are you installing? plug the rom drives back in & ignore the post about booting from cd disk as it will boot from the hd.
