Thanks!!!!!!!
This should work if not try doing a search here as well and you'll be fine-http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/hub.php
i am a beginner to this and some of the options to change on windows xp i cannot find. like where to change the gateway. could someone send me a reply with a simple guide to follow. at the moment both are connected to eachother via a crossover cable. I dont have a seperate network card, its built into the motherboard.
Go to Control Panel, and then click "network connections" Go to Local Area Connection, right click, and hit properties. You should see in the white box, and the very bottom: Internet Protocol TCP/IP. Click it, and hit properties. Now, you should see the I.P. boxes. Click "Use the following I.P. address" Following me so far? Now, your xbox i.p. should be either 192.168.0.3 or 192.168.0.200. If so, type in 192.168.0.* (replace the asterick with ANY number besides the last number of your xbox's i.p. The subnet should be 255.255.255.0 As for the gateway, you don't need to modify that. That's basically it. Now FTP using your xbox's i.p., and you should be fine
so far so good. now could you just explain a bit more about the last line. i was following you until you mentioned ftp then it all went shity!
FTP-File Transfer Protocol. Get an FTP client, like WS FTP Pro. It's very good and very professional.
i got a trial copy of flash fxp but it wont connect. also on windows xp do you leave the dns settings they r set to 0 on xbox
