How do I re-connect my N*L connection. I live in an apt and we had a connection but it was disconnected. I plugged it back in in the basement but it still does not work. I have the right cable as i put a tone on it upstairs and traced it to the board in the basement. I notice there is a blue piece of plastic in any of the live connectors that i plug out to examine. My connector does not have this. what is it?. the whole board of 16 points is active right.It should be a matter of just plugging the cable back in. Does this blue plastic thing make the connection?
He is rather coyly referring to NTL, the UK cable company, and, yes, he is trying to reconnect a service which was disconnected because of either non payment or contract expiry.
