Hi guys, I am connecting my stereo system to my humble Samsung 51 cm tv. I have plugged a set of dual RCA cable from the auxillery of my stereo into the "AV out" ports of my television. It works great for television channels but does not work for AV channels for some reason. If i want to play playstation or watch dvds on my dvd player the sound that comes through the stereo is the last channel that the tv it was tuned to. So if i am watching tv with my stereo speakers and go to AV channel to play psx, the sound will be playing back from the last channel it was on, its basically not picking up the input. Is there a way to allow my speakers to pick up AV channels. For this reason, when i watch DVD movies i have to manually plug the RCA cable directly into the DVD player, not the tv. Obviously PS1 does not have an audio out socket so i can't do this. I think PS2 might but i don't have one. thanks for any help.
So what you are saying is you have a set of a/v cables going to the tv audio input from your game box and one set coming from the a/v output to your stereo? If not that might resolve the problem.
I think i can help you out here, If you buy an A/V selecor (20$ TOPS) mine has four inputs they probably come in more or less, it has the three holes (yellow red white) for output, if you plug in your dvd player or playstation to the selector and then plug the audio directly from the selector to the stereo and only the video to the tv that should solve the problem. Sorry if its a bit confusing, but when you get the selector youll figure it out in no time. (80's metal? MERCYFUL FATE OWN 80's metal.)
