My new DVDR has RCA plug outputs for speakers - L/R/C/Sub/and two surround sound connections (all are RCA)The L and R work when connected to TV but I assume they can be connected to separate speakers etc with RCA connections. I have some nice JBL speakers I would like to use but they do not have RCA connections. can i use them???

You could run the speakers with standard monoblocks or an amplifier if your DVD player has the capability of sending the info to the amp, which it should have.
