Hi I am a newbie here and I need help! Everytime I try to access a website using its desktop shortcut I created, the Network Connection Wizard Appears! No matter how many time I try to fix the connection, it won't work! Now I can't use my shortcuts, along with other links. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance!
Why not just add the website to your Favorites.... When your on a website you want to bookmark then click "Favorites" then "Add to Favorites"... You can then access that site quickly by going to your Favorites list....
True, I can add the sites to My Favorites, but what about links? I can't open AIM links my friends send me. And sometimes when I need to register a product after I installed it, I can't because the link won't open because the Network Connection Wizard pops up.
Have you tried following the wizard through? Telling it you want to setup connection manually and use a netowrk to connect and then finish. It shouldnt pop up again and it shouldnt affect your current connections. Hope it helps.
Yes I did try that. But it doesn't seem like it's working...I still can't use my shortcuts nor my links.
Try getting rid of the spyware and malware on your computer. Also check for a virus. It sounds like you may have one of the above.
I used both Norton and SpySweeper to clean my computer...but the problem is still there. Any other nethods I can use?
