Ok I have a problem, I know a kid who's only 16 years old and he pirates dvd's and games I told him that it's against the law but he doesn't think there's any consequences for minors who do this. So I went online to see and I got to say I couldn't find anything, I know there's a 250,000 dollar fine and five years for adults who do this. But what about minors? If there are no consequences for kids who rent dvds or games and keep the copies they make, then [bold]I wish I was still that young.[/bold] But I really don't want him to get in trouble, so any help will be appreciated.

I think it mainly depends on what country you live in. I know in the USA there was a 12 year old girl who got caught DLing mp3s off her grandma's computer in New York, and the girl had to pay the fine. Not sure about pirating movies though. My feeling is that the MPAA is SO pissed about this, that I'm sure they will find some way to prosecute minors.
