Hey all. This is the first post i have made in this Nero Forum, so be gentle! I am trying to copy a video file on to a cd, so that i can play it on my TV, via a dvd player. I have tried many methods of buring the CD, even using the Windows XP CD Writing wizard, and my error is constant through-out all methods! It always seems to go wrong at the last momnet! I have an Nero error log, and i will post it below, and i would really like someone to be able to help me out. Thanks in advance Phoenix *********************************************** NERO ERROR LOG ------------------- Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: - ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 26/10/2004 18:35:34 Nero Version: 6.6.0.13 Internal Version: 6, 6, 0, 13c (Nero Express) Recorder: <MITSUMI CR-48XETE> Version: 482W - HA 1 TA 1 - 6.6.0.13 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI CD-ROM: <IDE DVD-ROM 16X >Version: 3.10 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.0.13 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : ST360012A atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On DiskPeripheral : ST340810A atapi Port 0 ID 1 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : IDE DVD-ROM 16X atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : MITSUMI CR-48XETE atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : Generic DVD-ROM 1.0 d347prt Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off === CDRom-Device-Map === IDE DVD-ROM 16X D: CDRom0 MITSUMI CR-48XETE F: CDRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 70254592 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 479MB (490996kB) Free physical memory: 176MB (181244kB) Memory in use : 63 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 27.10.2005 CD-ROM (ISO) 21:24:03 #1 Text 0 File Isodoc.cpp, Line 6194 Iso document burn settings ------------------------------------------ Determine maximum speed : FALSE Simulate : FALSE Write : TRUE Finalize CD : FALSE Multisession : TRUE Multisession type: : Start multisession Burning mode : TAO Mode : 1 ISO Level : 1 (Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 char) Character set : ISO 9660 Joliet : TRUE Allow pathdepth more than 8 directories : TRUE Allow more than 255 characters in path : TRUE Write ISO9660 ;1 file extensions : TRUE 21:24:03 #2 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 2882 MITSUMI CR-48XETE Buffer underrun protection activated 21:24:03 #3 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 127 Reader running 21:24:03 #4 Text 0 File Writer.cpp, Line 122 Writer MITSUMI CR-48XETE running 21:24:03 #5 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3293 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 21:24:03 #6 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3167 Turn on Track-At-Once, using CD-R/RW media 21:24:04 #7 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 260 Last possible write address on media: 336074 ( 74:42.74) Last address to be written: 179054 ( 39:49.29) 21:24:04 #8 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 272 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 21:24:04 #9 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2339 Recorder: MITSUMI CR-48XETE; CDRW code: 00 97 34 22; OSJ entry from: Mitsubishi Chemical ATIP Data: Special Info [hex] 1: E1 00 C6, 2: 61 22 16 (LI 97:34.22), 3: 4A 2B 00 (LO 74:43.00) Additional Info [hex] 1: 02 3A B0, 2: 5C C6 26, 3: 00 80 80 (invalid) 21:24:04 #10 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 438 >>> Protocol of DlgWaitCD activities: <<< ========================================= 21:24:04 #11 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 830 Setup items (after recorder preparation) 0: TRM_DATA_MODE1 () 2 indices, index0 (150) not provided original disc pos #0 + 179055 (179055) = #179055/39:47.30 relocatable, disc pos for caching/writing not required/ required, no patch infos -> TRM_DATA_MODE1, 2048, config 0, wanted index0 0 blocks, length 179053 blocks [MITSUMI CR-48XETE] -------------------------------------------------------------- 21:24:04 #12 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1043 Prepare recorder [MITSUMI CR-48XETE] for write in TAO DAO infos: ========== MCN: "" TOCType: 0x00; Session Closed, disc not fixated Tracks 1 to 1: 1: TRM_DATA_MODE1, 2048/0x00, FilePos 0 307200 367011840, ISRC "" DAO layout: =========== __Start_|____Track_|_Idx_|_CtrlAdr_|_RecDep__________ -150 | lead-in | 0 | 0x41 | 0x00 -150 | 1 | 0 | 0x41 | 0x00 0 | 1 | 1 | 0x41 | 0x00 179055 | lead-out | 1 | 0x41 | 0x00 21:24:04 #13 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1111 Removed 2 run-out blocks from end of track 1. Not saying I know much about the Error log but have you tried to change the media? Also how old is the writer, lasers get a bit tired after a few years. Gadget
- not too bad, latest 6.x version is 6.6.0.16 - firmware appears to be up to date, BUT that was back in 2003 - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1506 - just checking, were you intending to do multisession ? - discs should be ok - hmmm, i'd put this down to drive being a little old...my oldest burner is about the same age and has had a hard life but is still going strong; but your logfile isn't showing a great deal. maybe you could get one of those cleaners that cleans that laser but it might be just as cheap to buy another drive...
