    Hey all.

This is the first post i have made in this Nero Forum, so be gentle!

I am trying to copy a video file on to a cd, so that i can play it on my TV, via a dvd player. I have tried many methods of buring the CD, even using the Windows XP CD Writing wizard, and my error is constant through-out all methods! It always seems to go wrong at the last momnet!

I have an Nero error log, and i will post it below, and i would really like someone to be able to help me out.

    Thanks in advance
    Phoenix ;)

Not saying I know much about the Error log but have you tried to change the media?

Also how old is the writer, lasers get a bit tired after a few years.

    - not too bad, latest 6.x version is 6.6.0.16

    - firmware appears to be up to date, BUT that was back in 2003 - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1506

    - just checking, were you intending to do multisession ?

    - discs should be ok

    - hmmm, i'd put this down to drive being a little old...my oldest burner is about the same age and has had a hard life but is still going strong; but your logfile isn't showing a great deal. maybe you could get one of those cleaners that cleans that laser but it might be just as cheap to buy another drive...
