What would be the easiest scenario to do this? I have problems with the xvid encoder/decoders on my comp i've noticed that most xvid compressed files wont convert with tmpgenc. It throws out read errors all of the time such as "p3package.dll". Please someone help me, i need either a great decoder which will deff. work or an easy conversion method i could use to convert the file to the divx without great loss of quality.. Thanks Dan
You could change the fourCC from XVID to DX50. Could also frameserve to TMPGEnc via AVISynth. You will get faster encoding speeds too if you let AVISynth do all the resizing. What build of XviD do you have installed? If it is old, try updating. Also have you increase the directshow inputs priority?
Thanks for the reponse's. Could i ask why i shouldnt run tpmg from a shortcut.. "You could change the fourCC from XVID to DX50. Could also frameserve to TMPGEnc via AVISynth. I've did some framserving with virtual dub mod in the past but it didnt run as fast for some reason , i've noticed though, if i encode a video with the 23.97 fps it converts fine (even using the xvid decoder), but with the 29.. fps it never seems to convert correctly.. i increase the priority first off to +2.. its weird how some things encode with no error and others always crash the program lol! Could i also please ask the difference between the two choices of "C:/Program%20Files/Pegasys%20Inc/TMPGEnc%20Plus%202.5/Help/VideoContents.en.html" "Video movie The source consists only from video movie(29.97fps progressive/interlaced) Select this option if you are trying to encode movies captured from digital camera. Film movie The source consists only from film movie(substantially 24fps). This mode can be used for 29.97fps interlaced file movie. Select this option if you are trying to encode film / anime movies. Video/Film mixed Select this option if you have mixed source." Thanks for the all the help, i really appreciate it!
