I am using DVD Xpress version 3.0 to convert VHS videos to DVD. I generate MPEG-2 files pretty big. In the next step I convert into DVD using ConvertXtoDVD which I am familiar with. I could see that the program cannot find the duration of the video and needs to do some kind of test. It worked well one time, the second time using a MPEG-2 of 5.1 Go, it gave an obviously wrong time (10 min instead of more than 2 hours). I tried to use Unlead DVD Factory and the programm used considerable computer ressoures for a long time, so did TMPGen author. What is wrong?
I don't know if any of these mpeg fixers actually do anything with timestamps. http://www.gromkov.com/faq/faq2004-0085.html Good luck.
my advice is to try the demo of videoredo, it has a feature called quickstream fix. It's a good program for editing mpeg2 video's and doesn't reencode the video. http://www.videoredo.com/en/ProductPlus.htm
