    Hi everyone,
I've been trying to convert my mp4 files that i downloaded from my phone into a different format so i can get it onto a dvd (yeah not great quality but i just want to put some little extras on a project im doing for my media course but didn't have the camera for them). I've tried using xilisoft dvd creator but it just stalls after my second mp4 file so it doesn't burn. I tried a few other programs to try and simply convert them but none have worked so far. I tried to create and iso file and burn that but it also didn't work, nor did nero. I want to end up with my main project on the same dvd with the extras but i cannot figure out how to get the mp4 files to either convert or burn. If anyone has any ideas how i may do this it would be greatly appreciated.
    cheers.

    For freeware, try MediaCoder:

    http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/

It's not as fast or flexible as some other programs, but it does handle many different formats.

    Good luck!

wow it worked, thank you so much. It was a really good program and easy to use,
    thanks again.
    :)

Edit* ok that worked and kept it at a relatively small file size but i was wondering if i could do the following, if not then it doesnt really matter but i'd like to try.

I have several dvd production programs on my computer (the best probably being powerdirector, which as of yet I havn't learnt how to use) but I'm not sure which, if any can do what I want to do. I wish to have my main production accesable via a button on the main menu which would take me to the scene selection for that, but the extras available on a different menu with their own scene selection on another menu. Also i have created a second audio track which i would like to be heard over the top of the main production with the first audio track audable, yet quiet while the other one is being played. Ive tried using nero but i hate the menus in that and i can't put my second audio track on. I'm aware this is probably a lot to ask for an amateur production but it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could lend a hand.
    Thanks
