I looking through the threads here and didn't find an answer to this (despite another thread being called the same thing, it actually addressed the reverse). I have an external DVD burner that runs off usb. Consequently, it takes more time than it should to rip and burn DVD's and so, if possible, I'd like to convert it into an internal burner so that it'll be faster. Can I do this? If so, how? Aren't external burners just an internal one in a special case? Thanks!
Usually. Open up the case (carefully!) and see what's inside. If you find it's an IDE burner, and you have a spare IDE channel on your motherboard, you just need a cable.
