I ripped a dvd to svcd using dvd2svcd. I have deleted the cue and bin files which i made my svcd from as i had problems with my hard drive. is there any way i can convert my svcd cd back to cue and bin files? if not is there any way i can backup my vcd / svcd on my computer hard drive?
Converting your svcd (mpeg2) file(s) to bin& cue then reburn= transcoding= decreases the video quality. Why didn't you burn bin& cue to start with? If your encoded mpeg2 (svcd) is not to par, re-encode m8. Shoey
Use Alcohol 120%, put in the cd, click image making wizard and save a bin/cue image! Dont forget to change datatype to Video CD! Shoey, no encoding takes place so no loss of quality!
You lose quality of any type of file format when you "dup" a copy of a copy Dela and you should know this. Even though it may not be noticable by the naked eye(video) or ear(audio), you still lose quality. Also you should slow down your write process even more, preferably 4x (if applicable). Shoey mate, you are making an image of the cd, ok so maybe a little something is left out like always but i'd really doubt that would make a major effect on playback unless the burning process afterwards messed up!
