Ok, here's my problem: I have a generic DVD player, but have successfully gotten some movies to play. Here's my process: 1) Download & unzip w/ WinRar 2) Convert -> Avi -> DVD (successfully)using WinAvi 3) Use DVDShrink to shrink, then burn dvd to dvd-r disk using Nero 7 Ultra Edition 4) Movie won't play! So...I tried the AVICodec, b/c most places say I don't have the proper codec installed. It says I have the proper codec installed to get my movie to play. I have the klite codec pack. I have done all this & got about 3-4 movies to work in my dvd player. What am I missing here?? I've spent hours in front of this computer & am ready to pull out my hair...
well i see one thing that you don't need to do is you don't need dvd shrink, another thing don't use winavi use vso convertxtodvd much better thain winavi, also maby your generic player dose not like dvd-r, you could go to videohelp.com and type in the model number of your dvd player and it will tell you what type of disks as in brand, also it will tell you what formats your dvd player will or will not play, hope this helps good luck
