I HAVE DIVX CONVERT BUNDLE AND I REGULARLY CONVERT AVI FILES INTO DIVX FORMAT AND WATCH IT ON MY DIVX CERTIFIED DVD PLAYER.

HOWEVER I CAN NOT CONVERT THIS ONE PARTICULAR FILE. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AND CONVERT THIS INTO DIVX FORMAT.

I HAVE THE LATEST DIVX CONVERT BUNDLE FROM DIVX AND THELATEST CODECS INSTALLED.

I PUT THE FILE IN G-CODE TO SEE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF IT AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S XVID WITH .ogg CODEC. THE DIVX CONVERTER CAN NOT RECOGNIZE THE FILE FOR THIS REASON. WHAT DO I DO? I'VE TRIED MANY DIFFERENT CONVERTERS BUT THE ALL SAY THE SAME THING (CAN NOT RECOGNIZE THE FILE).

I HAVE A SCREENSHOT THAT I CAN E-MAIL TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ME OUT.

    ANY SUGGESTION WOULD BE WELCOME.

REMEMBER, I WANT TO CONVERT THIS FILE FROM AVI TO DIVX FORMAT.

    THANK YOU.....

    WHAT'S WITH THE BLOODY CAPSLOCK???

So it is an ogm file then? No such thing as an ogg codec. ogg is a container, vorbis, speex and flac are the audio codecs.

You would need an ogm splitter/parser such as Tobias', Gabest's, Haali's or Radlights and a vorbis decoder (assuming vorbis audio). That is if DivX convert takes input via directshow.

Fact is though that there is a decent chance that your player can handle XviD video fine, so it is just the audio that needs converting and probably nothing in the case of avi input. The DivX media format is just a hack/extension of avi and XviD = ASP MPEG-4, also DivX = ASP MPEG-4, so they are compatible. Just need to make sure that no unsupported features are used in the XviD encode (qpel, GMC, CQM's, etc.).
