I want to convert a dvd to a vhs tape. I would like to know how I need to configure my cables to do so. I have a dual vcr/dvd player.
I would think I need a stabilizer but do I come out of the jacks on the dvd side run through a stabilizer then go back to in input side of the vhs player/recorder?

You cantradict your request in the title and first line of your thread but I assume you mean you want to transfer a dvd to vhs using one combo machine? I'm pretty sure that can't be done.
You need to connect two seperate machines via scart but you will probably come accross Macrovision protection either on the DVD or the VHS master which will prevent the recording action taking place.
There are hacks for DVD players that disable it or Special scart leads that have a chip inside one end that stops that happening too.
