Converting .asf files

    I have downloaded an .ASF file and I converted with TMPgenc but when I burn't it as a VCD it didn't play back correctly on my DVD player it was all blocky and unwatchable (sound was ok though) what is the best way to convert this file?

    Well TMPGEnc would be fine, what was the quality like when you played the mpg on the PC?

    It played fine on the PC but when I burn't it to disk I also put another mpg track on first, then the converted .asf(as an mpg)the first track played fine but the 2nd unwatchable

    hmmm, you're not the only one who complained about that. A lot of files made with TMPGEnc seem to be giving the same problem. I noticed that with mine too when DVD2SVCD failed and I had to multiplex the video and audio with TMPGEnc and it didnt play back correctly!
