Hi all, converting an avi file using DVD2svcd and CCE, ver. 2.50 and after encoding for 4hrs, CCE then starts (a 3rd pass I think) and runs into trouble saying: CCE encoding failed, error, video check-sum is different from that of previous pass and source video data or time code may be different, or video tape, or information file etc. This has happened on another avi file using same programs. Can't seem to convert an avi file fully. In a (movie folder) in ( dvd2svcd ) I have 2 encoded audio files, 1 mpeg & 1 wav file and the encoded video cce pal mpv file is 0 (empty) Shouldn't the file be NTSC. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Bill
I must confess my ignorance. On a few movies (also MPEGs, not only AVI) I had the same error with CCE v2.5 and I was forced to use another encoder (I used TMPGenc Plus and all went well). I think the reason for that error is exactly the reason for DVD2SVCD's. I still can't understand why it did it. Maybe bacause the file was cut into 2 badly?
Hi, many thanks for info on CCE, ver. 2.5. I was thinking about trying the Film Machine and CCE, ver. 2.70 but I can't get the CCE installed. I download the zip file and unzip and click the exe file and the window with 2 lines come up. The second line is already filled in a folder (output setup) My problem is: what goes on the (reference, (setup 2.70.01.00) line. Read the readme txt file and cannot figure out what to put there. I tried the new output file and also the md5sum.exe file and it always comes back with: invalid or create file has failed and thats as far as I can get with it. would you have any help on this problem, thanks, Bill
Just don"t do Multi-Pass in CCE if you keep getting this error...You can expect Just as Good Quality with smaller File sizes useing the "One Pass VBR" setting accept this Settings it is hard to predict file sizes..... I personally use version 2.70 which is By far the best version so far and has Many added Features like 3:2 and 2:3 pulldown Support and Deinterlaceing and it also has it"s own Resize Filter (Finally)... Cheers
Thanks again for info on CCE. Can you help me install ver. 2.70. Please look at my last message about the reference line in the 1st part of installation.
Well I don"t have a Clue wht the Instalation problem is, maybe try downloading it again as the Installer might have become corrupted... If you have "WinRar" installed you might be able to extract the Files from the Installer and then Install the Program yourself by makeing a CCE Directory in your program files and putting the Files you extracted in the folder and make a shorcut from the Main EXE File to your desktop so you can Run the program..... I just tried it and it worked..After you extract the files from the Installer the CCE Standalone Program will be in a Folder named "cct" and you just take these files and put them in a CCE directory in program files ,You can probably run the Program from anywere but putting it in program files will help keep them out of the way.... Cheers
Hi Minion, I installed Winrar and then unzipped the CCE 2.70 file and selected the 5 files in Winrar and extracted them into the CCE folder in program files and made a shortcut of the exe file and ran it but its still the same. the same window comes up with the reference file on the top. where does this (cct) folder come from with the installed files. after the 2.70 zip is opened there are 5 files (1 exe file) okay so far?? When you extract those 5 files in Winrar you have to specify a dir to put them in so I put them into the CCE folder that I made. Now I'm lost as to the cct folder, please help, thanks.
Well all i did was Extract the Installer to a Folder on the desktop and it extracted 4 Folders, There was a PRM folder which had the Premier Plugin in it and there was the CCT Folder which had the CCE Standalone Files in it and there were 2 other Folders but I can not remember there names but one had the help files in it and one had the Un-Installer in it.... Then what I did was Copy the Files from the CCT folder into Programs Files and Make a Shortcut from the Main EXE File to my desktop and then ran the program from there..... Once you have WinRar Installed you Can Simply right click the File you want to extract and go to "Extract to here" instead of Running the Winrar Program its self..... good Luck PS: did you download the Program again as the One you downloaded before could have been corrupted.... Also CCE only works on CPU"s that have SSE optimizations....
By saying, installer, do you the mean the 2.70 zipped file. I don't see any of those folders when unzipping in Winrar. I have 1 exe, (ccesp 2700100to2700201.exe) 2 attention.txt files and 2 readme.txt files. downloading from afterdawn.com site: CCE SP Ver. 2.70.02.01 Trial. where are you downloading the 2.70 file and what is meant by sse opimizations and I also deleted the file 6 times and reinstalled it again. I think you have a different program than I do. Please give me the website you are downloading the 2.70 trial CCE from, thanks, Bill.
The Installer is the Thing you double click to install CCE...the File is called "ccspt270.exe"...I downloaded mine from the CinemaCraft Web site.... The "ccesp 2700100to2700201.exe" File is an upgrade file that will only work when upgradeing from an earlier version...Also the Demo version will Display a Big Logo over the Image so it can not be used to make a Proper DVD.... Cheers
Okay, have it all understood now. I had deleted the CCE ver. 2.5, should have left it in, and having that big logo on top of the finished file dosen't go well with me, think I'd be better off with another encoder, maybe TmpGenc. Many thanks for all the info and help, appreciate it.
