Converting BluRay discs to MPEG2

    I have some BR discs that I want to backup to DVD, so I can play them on my portable DVD player.

    Apparently, from what I have seen, I have to convert H264 files to MPEG2 to get there. Is that so?

    Where can I find a guide for that?
