I just bought a Sony DRU 500A DVD Burner. Is it possible to burn a .divx file to a dvdr for playback on a set top dvd player? This is not an .avi file in divx format, the file extension is .divx. I downloaded the file as a rental, but it will expire after 30 days of viewing and I'd like to keep it by way of burning it to a DVD. I would think there has to be a way to do it. I bet there is an encrypted header to the file. It checks to see if over 30 days has passed by, if so it doesn't let you play the file. Need something to rip out this header or check and save the video. I have Easy CD & DVD Creator 6.0, I have the latest Nero, Adobe Premiere also. Any help would be appreciated. Most of these programs just say that the format is not accepted when I try to drag the .divx file into the layout. Thanks for any help! Matt
