    Hi,
APEX HDM1850 DVD player is unable to play some of my MPEG-4 files. I have been told that this is because the Divx codec of said files is of an old version, namely v3. My question is whether thery is a way to convert such file to Divx v5 or v4.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi attar and thanks for your prompt and clear answer.

Apropos Divx codec: The version of Divx installed in my PC is 6.6.1 (not pro). The newest version is 6.8. Do you think it's worthwhile
to download & install it and if you think yes - do I have to uninstall the 6.6.1 version before installing 6.8 ?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Stibi.
Keeping them to a minimum and hoping they work is the extent of my dealings with codecs.
Unless there is compelling reason,I would leave it.
    Good luck.
