    Hello all,

First time posting, I enjoy this site much so I'm hoping someone can help. For background, I feel like I've searched high and low both on the forum and online to an answer and just can't seem to find one. If this thread is also out-of-place, please move it to its correct location or inform me it is being deleted so I can repost on the correct board.

Main Goal: To backup my DVDs (main movie) as single files on my computer
Secondary Goal: If possible, to be able to burn these files in a format that my Xbox 360 can play

Current Setup: I have used Decrypter (and DVD Shrink) on a DVD, converting the entire movie to VOB files on my computer. I then open Auto Guardian Knot, try to select one of the first IFO files. AutoGK tells me "Several PGCs were found in the IFO file" and gives me a list of PGCs (don't even know what those are) with their lengths. I pick the one about an hour and twenty minutes because my other option either less than a minute PGCs or one that's 2hrs 20min long, which is way longer than the movie time. I tell it where to put the output AVI file, make the custom size about 700mb then start it. The output file is great for video, but the audio sounds like the audio from the trailer on the disk, then goes silent after about a min and last the rest of the movie. Clicking on the other first IFO AutoGK tells me that it isn't valid. Help!

    Questions:
-Obviously, what is wrong with my current setup? Why isn't it working? Bad program, not using the programs correctly, what?
-What is the best type of file to convert TO? AVI? MPG? MPEG? I figure this will have more to do with being able to burn a few files to a DVD disk and watch on my 360 in the right format than anything else. Possibly also file-size and clarity, but I'm not sure.
