Converting from DV to DivX

    I have a lot of raw camera footage in DV PAL format that I would like to convert to high quality DivX with .avi

    The quality I am looking for is the one the "HDTV-LOL" people use when they upload episodes of Lost and Prison Break etc.
    Good quality, and 45 minutes takes about 350 mb
    How can I do this?

    You won't get the same quality from an interlaced SD source as from a progressive HD source. Also lol releases would be compressed with Xvid (also x264 for the 720p ones).
