Ok, i have some real questions. Please do me a favor in answering them if you can because i have been losing sleep over this. Here's my problem. I just recently got a video ipod and i am trying to put videos on it from some DVD's that i have. I downloaded Cucosoft DVD to Ipod Converter in order to do it. Once i convert the movie, (we'll call it Napoleon Dynamite) i find it in the folder that it sends it to. Once that is all done, i open up itunes and drag the Napoleon Dynamite converted file into my library. I look in my library to find no Napoleon Dynamite there. Somehow i was able to put in a different movie a few days ago but when i try updating my ipod so i can watch it on my ipod, the "Update Ipod" button is idle and it will not let me click on it even though the movie is in the library. Those are my two questions. I would greatly appreciate some answers as soon as possible. This is driving me nuts. Thank you. -David
Try renaming 'Napolean Dynomite' to something shorter for now, sometimes iTunes rejects long file names. As far as the update button goes, attach your iPod to your computer and go to Prefrences [under Edit in iTunes] then go the iPod tab, and then to the Videos tab. Make sure you don't have the [bold]Do not update videos[/bold] radio button selected.
Thanks a lot for your help. I do have the "do not update videos" button checked but it's idle so i have no way of unchecking it. How do i do it?
Open up iTunes again and go to Prefrences under Edit. Go to the iPod tab and go to Music and see if automatically update all songs and playlists is checked, once it is checked you should be able to put the radio button to where it belongs.
Thanks. I checked the video one to automatically update all videos. Once again i got another problem...my videos didnt update. All the videos are in the library but it wont update, even if i click update ipod.
