I have recorded many one and a half hour to over two hour mpeg's using a program called MyTheatre. When played back on the computer these files are perfect. I have been using Tmpgenc dvd author to convert them, using DVD patcher along with Tmpgenc, mostly without any problem but on occasion I have found that the sound sinc is out after the conversion. It 's fine at the start but by the end of the movie it seems to be about 2 seconds out. I do the same steps each time but cant fathom out why one will be OK then another be out of sinc?
    Any idea's?

In case of audio synchronization problem, we advise to re-encode the source file using an MPEG editor software.
Since version 2.520, TMPGEnc Plus include the same CRI MPEG decoder as TMPGEnc DVD Author and therefore sound problem will certainly occure too. To avoid this, disable the CRI decoder in the VFAPI plug-in and enable the MPEG-2 decoder from Cyberlink or Ligos used until 2.513.
Such decoders have to be installed on the computer to be used.

    Example:
If you have Cyberlink PowerDVD installed you can try using it's MPEG-2 Decoder.
    Options > Environmental settings... > VFAPI plug-in
Un-check CRI and make sure Cyberlink is checked.

I have never tried it but thats what the FAQ says to try.

    hi
try use Canopus ProCoder it's better than TMPGEnc.
Canopus ProCoder is good for converting files with no ^out of sync^.
that is what i been told.
