I recorded a video clip. it's more than 2 hours or something.. i saved it as high quality, so the file size is huge(15G). but i am trying to edit this file and resave the clips that i want. but if i save it as medium quality, then the quality is so bad. is there any way to keep the good quality and reduce the file size? or any software that you guys want to recommend?

i am using windows movie maker installed in XP.

    thanks in advance...

Depends what you want to do with the final result
If it's going to DVD (now or in the future) then render it as mpeg2 which will be great quality and much smaller file size.

If it's staying on the computer then you might want to render it as Divx (this is outside my area of knowledge as I don't do it)
This will produce very small files sizes but the quality won't be as good.

I use Video Vegas for editing and rendering
