    Hi,
new to the forum and to DVD ripping and need to ask,
Have a movie taped off of sat which I burned to DVD on a Phillips DVDR 615(to digitize the movie) using the 3 hour formate(burned on a DVD+R)

Ripped the DVD into my Imac with Mac The Ripper, and now want to add Chapter markers with DVD Studio Pro 2.0

What program is needed to convert the files to a formate that I can open with DVD Studio Pro

Any help and suggestions would be great
    Thanks
    Keary

This will take FOREVER. I think you'd have to convert to quicktime with dvdxdv or cinematize, then back to mpeg2 to bring into dvdstudiopro where you would put your tracks and author it. I don't know how to skip quicktime in that process...

I'm actually surprised you don't have chapters already. Most stand alone burners automatically put chapter indexes about every 5 minutes. Or do you want them somewhere else?

no, just forgot to turn on the auto feature and thought I would try and learn more about the whole process.
Found out I had to update the QT Mpeg 2 , then I can
use bbDEMUX, then load the asset into DVD pro and
convert to MPEG2 at that point.

Now on to the next phase of my adventure.
    Thanks for the reply
