I can't find any information on this...

Okay, I'm trying to get a bunch of vob, ifo, and bup files to convert to avi (or any of these, I don't know what's best: .asf, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv).

I got the vob, ifo, and bup files off of a DVD with my Windows 99 and now they're on my new XPS and I want to make them compatible with Windows Movie Maker so I can use the footage.

It's taken me a while to figure out what I'm trying to do-- any tips on what I have to do to get there? Any information would be appreciated... what converter to use or being pointed in the direction of a guide for people just a little bit out of their league would be good.
