    Hi all,

I am new to the dvd burning world. So far I have been able to rip a movie onto my computer using dvd decrypter. DVD Decrypter automatically rips the movie to a .vob file. When I try to write the file using DVD Decryptor, I get errors stating that its an invalid or unsupported file type. When I try using Sonic MyDVD I get an error that says "this is not a valid MyDVD project file".
What am I doing wrong?? Any help is appreciated

Don't know about Sonic but you're going to need and IFO file in order to burn. Decrypter isn't a burning program. Try ripping w/ Shrink and burning w/ Nero 6 - itsa piece of cake.

If this Vob file is Small enough to fit on a DVD-R and it only has One Audio Track then you can Author it to DVD Useing any DVD authoring Program that Supports AC3 audio, Like Tmpgenc DVD author..But you really should be useing something like DVD-Shrink or DVD2One as it is a Lot easier.....

I will give Nero a try. Thanks for your response. For any existing files that I have on my HD,is there a way to burn a .vob file?

In My Post it says that you can Burn a Vob file to DVD if you use a DVD authoring program ...The DVD authoring Program will allow you to add chapters and a menu and format it to a folder that it will Burn to DVD...

I tried buring the VOB files using Nero. I used the instructions from the guides tab, but when I pull up the VIDEO_TS Folder I do not have any .BUP files (only .VOB and .IFO) causing it to error out.

Well If it is a Valid Video_TS Folder there should be a BUP file also, If you can not get it to Burn you can Re-Author the DVD with a DVD Authoring program like the One I mentioned...
