Hi I am trying to convert my custom DVD that I am making. The problem is when I try to convert the audio using any audio editing program such as cool edit, besweet, or encore, I get the same problem the audio is somehow trimed and cut down.

My original audio is stripped from a Xivd movie I created of my cousins wedding to save space on my computer for later. Now I want to put the Xivid into DVD format which I have done before using Divx, but Xvid seems to not play or encode properly, but that is for a different section of this forum.

My problem is when I strip the audio from the video "Xvid" the audio is somehow clipped my original file is 57:51 but when I convert to AC3 using besweet it becomes 57:42 huge! lag.

Whats going on here, the audio original is bitrate 130 audio sample 44000Khz. I really want to know this has been a problem for to long and I have tried to long to fix this, help please.

    do you have nero

the reason i ask is nero burning rom's suite of software will code the dvd and the sound without cutting it down the only problem is nero will cost you 99.99 just for the burning software then another 99.99 for the conversion software for the dvd

im sorry to say i wouldn't have converted the video into xvid eaither no other players except divix player can play the format good!!

and when you copy it to dvd it places the dvd into divix mode and only plays the dvd 30 times then your player is no longer able to play it..

so my recommendation is recode the entire video in a normal format and try again

sorry people for the late reply, its just I am renovating at the mo and havent been on the internet in about a 2 weeks.

Ok Yes I do have Nero and Nero vision but I think I have figured out the problem.

The solution to the problem is to use virtualDub and save the wav from the video, next you use Adobe encore 1.5 to transcode it. Choose the PAL DVD low Quailty setting 4MB CMR 1 pass, this will ensure that your file doenst get clipped and will also ensure that you convert to Doly AC3 format.

Try it out and tell me what you guys/girls think I have I found a way?

I am still renovating so replying to your comments will take time thanks.
