I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I've looked everywhere and couldn't find a clear answer. This avi file plays just fine in WMP with the help of ffdshow. However, I want to convert it to a DVD. I've downloadeded and run the "x264 installer" from http://x264.nl/. However, the file does not get converted with avi2dvd. It craps out at the video encoding phase, and says "can not process AVS file." What methods would you suggest for converting this to a DVD? I'd really appreicate any help! Thanks very much!
Maybe Try a Different encoder??? You don"t need to install anything if you have FFDShow installed as it is all you need.... Maybe Try "VSO DivXtoDVD" (Freeware).... Cheers
