You can get Stoik 1.1 here
    http://www.gold-software.com/5891.zip

    and Stoik 2 here
    www.stoik.com

You might have to go to .avi then to mpg with
TMPGEnc. Stoik seems to handle more input
formats than they list as supported. For
example, to get a DVD out of .rm and .rmvb
files I convert the video to .avi first using
Stoik v. 1.1 then put the .avi through TMPGEnc Plus
(You need to substitue Real Alternative for Real Player
    to do that btw)

Stoik 2 explicity claims it supports .wmv

Also you should be able to load .asf files in
TMPGEnc and output .mpg. For mpeg2 you need
TMPGEnc Plus 2.54. You can download trial vesion:
    http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/download/tp.html
If the audio gives problems you can try dropping
the video on GoldWave first and saving as .wav file
then using the .wav as audio input to TMPGEnc. If
GoldWave doesn't like the video file you might be
able to fix it up by getting more codecs from
    www.free-codecs.com

I try to do everything with freewares myself but
I bought TMPGEnc Plus a couple of years ago because
it works with a lot of freeware. About the only other
software I've had to buy is Nero for burning the discs. :)
