Ok folks, I just recently started using DVD shrink,
and everything seems to be working out well, but the problem is that when I compress a dvd using shrink, back it up to the hard disk then write it using nero
to a blank dvd,the resulting copied dvd wont let me use the interactive menus on my dvd player but will let me use the interactive menu on my p.c. dvd player.
    WHAT AM I DOING WRONG......Please help..Andy.

My guess is you used the re-author mode in Shrink. If you do this the menu becomes inactive and plays like a video clip. To keep menu active using Shrink, you have to click backup without using re-author mode.

Another good choice(but not free) to keep menu active and still be able to edit is Clonedvd and Anydvd working together. About $40. each but well worth it

I have had exactly the same problem recently with the kids dvd player, but they work fine in the "family" player and PC. I can only assume it is because I bought a new batch of blanks (although they are the same brand as before).
